Game Engineer on DinerTown Zoo
I served as a game engineer on DinerTown Zoo, PlayFirst’s first free-to-play game. Developed using the custom “Playground SDK” with C++ and Lua, this project marked a major shift in the company’s approach to game monetization.
DinerTown Zoo allows players to build and manage their own zoo, focusing on visitor satisfaction and animal welfare to boost revenue and unlock new features. My technical contributions were crucial in setting a high standard for subsequent free-to-play titles, leading to substantial revenue increases with each new release. This role showcased my ability to adapt to and innovate within evolving gaming models.
